Created as part of the Geneuary art challenge, this motion graphics piece is an exploration of simplicity, structure, and motion. I aimed to make it audioreactive, using a custom Python script in TouchDesigner to dynamically position particles. Each particle in this visual is a triangle, staying true to the concept of minimalism while allowing for complex emergent patterns.
Part of my audioreactive visual series for the Geneuary art challenge, this piece was built around the strict constraint of using only pure black and white, no gray. Achieving this within an audio driven motion design was particularly challenging, as transformation techniques inherently introduced shades of gray. To maintain absolute contrast, I avoided using elements like transforms, blurs, and displacements that softened the visuals. Additionally, I used a Matte TOP combined with a Threshold TOP in TouchDesigner to ensure no gray pixels remained in the final output. The result is a stark, high contrast pattern where sound and form interact in a purely binary visual language.
